Obama asistirá a juego de béisbol en Cuba

El presidente estadounidense Barack Obama asistirá a un juego de exhibición entre una selección cubana de béisbol y el equipo de las Grandes Ligas Tampa Bay Rays, el venidero 22 de marzo en el estadio Latinoamericano de La Habana.

El mandatario escribió en su cuenta oficial @POTUS –Presidente de Estados Unidos– en Twitter, donde tiene seis millones y medio de seguidores: “Play Ball” y compartió un enlace a la web de las Grandes Ligas donde se anuncia el juego.

En tanto Ben Rhodes, asesor de Seguridad Nacional de Obama y uno de sus funcionarios más cercanos, confirmó la noticia a través de esa red social: “@POTUS asistirá a un juego de exhibición entre @MLB de @RaysBaseball y el equipo cubano de béisbol en Cuba”. Destacó el asesor de la Casa Blanca que “estamos muy contentos de fortalecer los lazos entre nuestros países a través del amor y la pasión por el béisbol”. “Trazando nueva política hacia Cuba”, señaló Rhodes al referirse al juego de pelota.

The president wrote in his official account @POTUS -President of the United States in Twitter, which has six and a half million followers: "Play Ball" and shared a link to the website of Major League Baseball where the game is announced.

Meanwhile Ben Rhodes, National Security Adviser Obama and one of his closest officials confirmed the news through the social network: "@POTUS Attend an exhibition game between @MLB of @RaysBaseball and the Cuban baseball team in Cuba". Said the adviser to the White House that "we are very pleased to strengthen ties between our countries through love and passion for baseball." "Charting new policy toward Cuba," Rhodes said, referring to the ballgame.
