Nuestro tránsito por la vida recibe marcas indelebles, tanto desde la óptica individual como colectiva. Quienes trabajaron en esta radio y los que ahora están, hemos tenido la suerte de protagonizar momentos trascedentes junto a los oyentes.

Cómo olvidar aquellos días en que transmitiendo como radio base comenzamos a dejar las primeras marcas sobre un camino, creciente y de amplio alcance, como árbol de profunda raíz que extiende cada vez sus ramas.

Después Radio Victoria de Girón cedió espacio a Radio Güines y otro capítulo de la historia comenzó a tejerse, como las bordadoras que con manos diestras, saben poner las puntadas justo donde van.

Una programación que transitó hasta llegar a las 12 horas y su calidad progresiva, la condujo a codearse con las mejores plantas del país para convertirse en referente nacional.

Casi cuatro décadas de sacrifico y entrega, de elogios y premios, devino argumento suficiente para que, con la multiplicación de La Habana, la dirección del Partido decidiera otorgar carácter provincial a esta estación de radio.

Surgió así en el dos mil 11 Radio Mayabeque. La historia de la radiodifusión en esta zona geográfica dio otro giro trascedente. Con el mismo personal y tecnología que poseía  Radio Güines se asumió el reto de transmitir hacia 11 municipios, contribuir al fortalecimiento de la identidad del territorio más joven del país y a la vez, lo más complejo y llamativo, enamorar a la nueva audiencia.

Hoy, ocho de enero de dos mil 18, siete años después de habernos convertido en emisora provincial, los periodistas, artistas, personal administrativo y directivos tienen otra gran responsabilidad, extender las transmisiones a 24 horas.

Estaremos al lado de ustedes en la mañana, la tarde, la noche y la madrugada y junto apreciaremos los cambios en la programación, reestructurada con la salida al aire de nuevos espacios, concebidos desde la realidad mayabequense y pensando en ustedes.

Continuidad, respeto, entrega, sacrificio, calidad, resultados. Son muchos los epítetos que pudiéramos utilizar para definir este otro giro en la historia. Momento que reconoce y dignifica la calidad de un colectivo que tiene en sus trabajadores nutrientes de excelencia

Comenzamos  a hacer realidad la nueva experiencia con la inspiración de aquellos jóvenes que enviaron la primera señal al espacio para dar vida a una radio base convertida en punto de partida, con la entrega de las sucesivas generaciones que aquí laboraron, también con los sueños y las esperanzas de quienes hoy hacen de radio Mayabeque una emisora puntera en el país.

Pero nada seríamos sin nuestros oyentes. Este colectivo de radialistas está convencido de que ustedes y nosotros seguiremos tomados de las manos haciendo la nueva radio, la que necesitamos, la que quería el Comandante eterno de la Revolución, Fidel, la que para siempre permanecerá en el corazón del pueblo.

Like a tree with a deep root that extends its branches  

Our journey through life receives indelible marks, both from an individual and collective perspective. Those who worked on this radio and those who are now, we had the luck to star in moments behind the listeners.

How can we forget those days when transmitting as base radio we start to leave the first marks on a path, growing and wide reaching, like a tree that spreads its branches every time.
Then Radio Victoria de Girón gave space to Radio Güines and another chapter of the story began to weave, like the embroiderers who, with a right hand, know how to put the stitches right where they are going.
A program that transited until 12 o’clock and its progressive quality, led her to rub shoulders with the best plants in the country to become a national reference.
Almost four decades of sacrifice and delivery, of praise and prizes, became sufficient argument for, with the multiplication of Havana, the leadership of the Party decided to grant provincial character to this radio station.

It arose like this in the two thousand and eleven Radio Mayabeque. The history of broadcasting in this geographical area gave another transcendent turn. Continuity, respect, delivery, sacrifice, quality, results. There are many epithets that we could use to define this other turn in history. Moment that recognizes and dignifies the quality of a collective that has excellent nutrients in its workers, as a tree with a deep root that extends its branches.
We began to realize the new experience with the inspiration of those young people who sent the first signal to the space to give life to a base radio turned into a starting point, with the delivery of the successive generations that have worked here, also with dreams and the hopes of those who today make radio Mayabeque a leading station in the country.

But nothing would be without you, our listeners.
