Dicen que Pancho fue encontrado en el Malecón. Estaba casi sin plumas y sin apetito, al borde de la muerte. Un pescador lo llevó a casa de Magela Guerrero, quien lo adoptó como uno más de la familia. Luego de un régimen de medicamentos y cremas curativas a través de lo que parecía una recuperación poco probable, Magela lo salvó.

Hoy día Pancho ha cambiado su vida en libertad por las comodidades de La ciudad. Es la estrella de la calle 23. Allí se siente como en casa, va de un sitio para otro y muchas personas le conocen.
