Presidentes y cancilleres de las naciones de Latinoamérica y el Caribe se unieron al presidente Raúl Castro Ruz y miles de jóvenes, para conmemorar el aniversario 161 del natalicio del Héroe Nacional Cubano, José Martí.

Los jóvenes y también adultos, antorcha en mano, rememoraron LA MARCHA DE LAS ANTORCHAS que los estudiantes universitarios de la capital realizaron contra el gobierno de Batista antes del triunfo de la Revolución.

Hoy, miles de antorchar encendidas parecían continuar iluminando el camino de la libertad que comenzamos a transitar el primero de enero de 1959.

Los presidentes Latinoamericanos y del Caribe se encuentran en La Habana  para celebrar la Segunda Cumbre  de los Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños los días 28 y 29 de enero.
