La Habana, Cuba -La agrupación cubana Buena Vista Social Club iniciará una gira por varios países de Europa, con la cual pondrán punto final a un importante ciclo de trabajo.

Según explicó Jesús Ramos, director del conjunto, el periplo con el nombre “Adios Tour”, se extenderá hasta noviembre de 2015 y los llevará a plazas de Europa, América Latina, África y Estados Unidos.

En la gira, dijo, se les rendirá homenaje a los grandes músicos que formaron parte de la orquesta y ya no están como Rubén González, Ibrahim Ferrer y Compay Segundo, entre otros.

También, se grabarán una serie de discos con temas que los llevaron a la popularidad, añadió.

Daniel Florestano, presidente de Montuno Producciones, informó que después de esta gira queda interrumpido temporalmente el quehacer en conjunto de la agrupación, debido a la variedad de proyectos personales que tienen previstos sus integrantes.

Más que un adiós, comentó Eliades Ochoa, es un cierre de ciclo, el proyecto no se acabará nunca, pues llegó para quedarse, seguiremos llevando la música cubana por el mundo.

La gira nacional prevista para este mes será aplazada para marzo y se realizarán dos conciertos en el habanero teatro Karl Marx con la participación de sus fundadores, entre ellos la Diva Omara Portuondo, el trompetista Guajiro Mirabal y el laudista Barbarito Torres.
