Dentro de pocos días, La Habana será escenario de uno de los espectáculos deportivos más impresionantes del mundo, cuando se inicie el 10 de mayo la Serie Mundial de Cliff Diving en la emblemática Fortaleza de los Tres Reyes del Morro, desde la cual saltarán al mar los principales 14 ornamentalistas del orbe en esa especialidad.

Los competidores, todos hombres, harán su exhibición a una altura de 27 metros, desde una plataforma montada en el farallón a la entrada de la bahía habanera, consistente en una estructura de acero y aluminio que sobresaldrá siete metros de altura y unos ocho de saliente, para evitar riesgos, indicó Rolando Ruiz, comisionado nacional de clavados.

Entre los más destacados estarán el colombiano Orlando Duque, primer monarca del circuito en 2009 y campeón del orbe de deportes acuáticos en Barcelona 2013, donde se efectuó por vez primera esta modalidad.

Duque, a pesar de sus 38 años, es uno de los clavadistas extremos más emblemáticos del universo, pues atesora el título en la edición pionera de la Serie Mundial (2009) y los subcampeonatos del 2010 y 2012. Solo el fuera de serie británico Gary Hunt, capaz de eslabonar una cadena de títulos ininterrumpida desde el 2010 y puntero en la actual campaña con 780 rayas, le antecede. El colombiano, además, es miembro del comité técnico de la disciplina, y a finales de septiembre, tras consumarse la parada de Niteroi, Brasil, el día 28, viajará a La Habana junto a Pedreguera para impartir un taller sobre cliff diving.

 Alejandro Hernández Chamizo:¿Qué es Origami?

Lázaro García Gutiérrez: Origami es un vocablo japonés, que significa ori: plegado, gami: papel. Es decir plegar el papel. Su origen se disputa entre China y Japón, pero este último lo desarrolló más.

  AHCH: ¿Qué tipos de Origami existen?

LGG: Inicialmente el Origami lograba la forma final partiendo de un solo pliego de papel. Siempre se hacían abstracciones de la vida real y eran representadas en una única hoja de forma cuadrada, aunque se visualizan diseños triangulares o hexagonales. Con el decursar del tiempo sufrió notables cambios desde Japón hacia Europa que rompen un poco los patrones establecidos y adoptan nuevas iniciativas.

 AHCH: ¿Cómo nace un origami?

LGG: Con un pliego de papel se crea un diseño que recibe el nombre de origami módulo. Este también se incrementó con cintas, con formas bases que no eran tradicionales, en fin son muchísimas las variantes que tiene actualmente este arte.

 AHCH: ¿Qué beneficios trae para el hombre el origami además de la estética?

Con respecto a la función educativa desarrolla el trabajo cooperativo en su máxima expresión, el estudio de la geometría, el cálculo y otros conceptos. El origamista posee un sentido de solidaridad increíble. En fin podría decirte un millón de elementos positivos, pero a groso modo estos son los más importantes.

 AHCH: ¿Cómo llega el origami a San Nicolás?

LGG: Eso se remonta a casi seis años y medio atrás. Básicamente siempre he doblado las hojas sin conocer que tenía facilidad para este arte. En el dos mil ocho encontré la máxima expresión del plegado de papel, me llamó mucho la atención y realizamos una labor muy acelerada en la creación de piezas de origami modular y felizmente en diciembre se inaugura la primera exposición en el Museo Municipal , ése es el anfitrión nuestro en el pueblo.

 AHCH: ¿Qué hacen después de la exposición viendo la aceptación de todo el pueblo?

Tengo la tremenda satisfacción de dejar huellas en mi descendencia. Un año después, mi hijo Alejandro realizó una exhibición personal en el museo local con mucho éxito.

 AHCH: ¿Qué pretenden hacer en el futuro con el origami en el territorio?

LGG: Mira, lo único que te puedo decir al respecto es trabajar. Origami no es hablar, es plegar. El objetivo es desarrollar el arte y hacerlo llegar hasta donde podamos. Nos trazamos metas muy concretas, está felizmente en proceso la creación de una Asociación Cubana de Origami. Estamos en condiciones de fundarla, plegadores hay bastantes diseminados por todo el país, sin ningún tipo de organización. Es necesario reunificarnos y crear una asociación con fines bien definidos, pues no conozco una sola persona que se dedique a esta labor y no tenga los mismos objetivos, en el sentido de la propagación del arte.

 AHCH: ¿Cuéntame sobre el origami en la Universidad Agraria de La Habana?

LGG: Ya veo que estás bien informado. En la Universidad ocurre lo que siempre pasa a mi alrededor. Desde el comienzo del origami me tracé dos propósitos: llevar el arte a toda costa y expandirlo. Me considero un origamista dependiente, ya no puedo estar sin doblar un papel. Eso ocurrió en la Agraria y felizmente ya tenemos un pequeño taller con más de 40 estudiantes universitarios asociados. Además trabajamos para montar una exposición, preparar a los más aventajados y transmitir toda la experiencia en el conocimiento de las técnicas.

 AHCH: ¿Cómo combinas la práctica del origami, el trabajo y la familia?

LGG: Esa pregunta es bien complicada. El trabajo es muy importante y el momento libre lo dedico a plegar papel. En la Universidad se utilizan los horarios libres del almuerzo, algún receso entre turnos y no hay mucho más tiempo.

Lázaro García Gutiérrez posee su propio mundo y le da forma a su gusto. Lo real maravilloso del asunto es que gusta compartir con los demás el resultado de su amor por el origami.

El mayabequense  llevó piezas negras en el tercer tablero del equipo San Petersburgo, y consiguió la victoria en 69 movimientos.

Este es el tercer éxito de Domínguez, único que logró imponerse por su equipo este viernes, y aportó en el empate de San Petersburg 3-3 con el representante de Universidad (Belorechensk).

Hasta el momento el ídolo de Güines es el tercer mejor jugador del certamen, con cuatro puntos de cinco posibles, en una lista que es dominada por el ruso Alexander Grischuk, jugador que defiende los colores del Malachite y el georgiano Baadur Jobava del Universidad.

El desenlace mantiene al cubano entre los 10 primeros del ranking universal "en vivo" al acumular dos mil 765,6 puntos ELO.

Radio Mayabeque de aniversario

Los trabajadores de la emisora provincial Radio Mayabeque, festejan el aniversario 44 de la creación de Radio Güines, emisora territorial que dio paso a la planta provincial  con la división político-administrativa de La Habana en el dos mil 11.

El vínculo con los oyentes se mantiene como la principal razón de los festejos, por eso cumplen con un programa de actividades que abarca visitas a las 11 municipalidades de la provincia.

Hasta el momento el recorrido radial llegó a San Nicolás, Quivicán y Nueva Paz. La semana entrante continuarán  estos encuentros, vitales para la relación oyente-programa y para estrechar vínculos  con las direcciones políticas y de gobierno en las diferentes localidades.

A partir del lunes próximo, continuarán las visitas  por los diferentes municipios de la provincia.

Como parte de los recorridos se realizan encuentros con la población con el objetivo de conocer opiniones acera de la programación que ofrece la planta, tanto desde la óptica informativa como variada.

La celebración mayor acontecerá el 19 de abril, fecha en que los radialistas junto al pueblo de Mayabeque, festejarán las más de cuatro décadas de existencia de una emisora que se mantiene en el corazón del pueblo.

Radio Mayabeque anniversary
