Conscientes de la responsabilidad histórica que asume nuestra generación como garantía segura del perfeccionamiento y la continuidad de la Revolución Cubana y partiendo del principio de que en nuestras Universidades han de formarse profesionales cada día más competentes y comprometidos con la Revolución, dispuestos a ponerse al servicio de la sociedad en la construcción de nuestro Socialismo:

Ratificamos la decisión de la brigada de primer año de Periodismo de expulsar de nuestra Universidad a la estudiante Karla María Pérez González.

La mencionada estudiante reconoce ser miembro de una organización ilegal y contrarrevolucionaria, contraria a los principios, objetivos y valores de la Revolución Cubana.

El estudiantado universitario no aceptará jamás la contrarrevolución dentro de nuestras Universidades. Junto a nuestro indiscutible, invicto y eterno Comandante en Jefe reafirmaremos siempre: “…dentro de la Revolución, todo; contra la Revolución, nada.  Contra la Revolución nada, porque la Revolución tiene también sus derechos; y el primer derecho de la Revolución es el derecho a existir.  Y frente al derecho de la Revolución de ser y de existir, nadie.”

Actuamos en consonancia con lo aprobado el 14 de junio de 2013, cuando en nuestro 8vo Congreso declaramos:

PRIMERO: Que la defensa de nuestro proceso martiano, marxista-leninista, socialista y antiimperialista, será siempre tarea primera del estudiantado universitario, consciente del doble compromiso que asumimos con Cuba y con la Universidad revolucionaria que su pueblo reclama. Seguros de que no hay mayor responsabilidad y tarea para los hijos del Alma Mater, que la defensa de la continuidad de la Revolución y el Socialismo.

SEGUNDO: Que nunca seremos una organización débil, elitista, ni alejada  del palpitar del pueblo. Que cada brigada será bastión inexpugnable de resistencia contra  cualquier  enemigo de la obra que enarbolamos los cubanos. Que el  pensamiento unitario de la nación con  todos y para el bien todos, de los  humildes, y  para los humildes; será la máxima que nos mueva en la búsqueda de una  sociedad  más justa.

Retired US military calls for ties to Cuba

El Instituto de Meteorología emitió el Aviso de Ciclón Tropical número uno, acerca de la primera depresión subtropical de la actual temporada.

Su centro a las 12 del mediodía de hoy se estimó en los 32.0 grados de latitud norte y 40.8 grados de longitud oeste, posición que lo sitúa a 1530 kilómetros al oeste-suroeste de las Azores y a 2250 kilómetros al este de las Bermudas.

Tiene vientos máximos  sostenidos de 55 kilómetros por hora, con rachas superiores y su presión mínima central es de 995 hectoPascal.

Las condiciones se presentan poco favorables para gane algo más en organización e intensidad, producto a vientos fuertes en los niveles altos de la atmosfera y baja temperatura superficial del mar. El Diecinueve de abril es el cumpleaños de esta radio. Fiesta unas veces, nostalgia casi siempre.

Cuarenta y siete abriles parece mucho tiempo. Era mil 970: año que solo conozco por referencias, una emisora nacida en esa fecha sólo podía llamarse Radio Victoria de Girón. Luego tomó el nombre más amado, el que resiste a abandonarnos. Yo crecí en Radio Güines y empiezo a envejecer en Radio Mayabeque.
Se parece, aunque como diría el poeta, siempre acertado: “Nosotros los de entonces, ya no somos los mismos”

En fecha como esta la memoria da latigazos y siempre llegan los que no están: los que partieron a otras tierras del mundo, a otras calles del pueblo, a otra forma de existencia.

Siempre me acuerdo de Mirta: con su pelo exuberante, el café, la canción que buscaba cuando empezábamos a ganar: alegría, alegría… difícil recordarla con tristeza aunque ya no revolotee por los pasillos.

Tantos cambiaron de vida, y por fortuna no con el mismo rumbo. De todas maneras siempre acompañan, entre muchos otros, : Gilbe, Maye, Wilma, Abelito, Ana María, Alain, Gloria – la diva – pidiendo que le entregaran la noche.
También se extraña a los que están aquí. Pienso en Mano, y en la falta sin fondo que nos hace… en Lachy, Carlos…

Cuba conmemoró la Declaración de la Independencia de Venezuela con jornada de solidaridad

La Embajada de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela en la República de Cuba, conmemoró el 19 de abril, día de la Rebelión Emancipadora de Venezuela, con una jornada mundial de solidaridad, actividad que paralelamente se desarrolló en las misiones diplomáticas venezolanas en más de 20 países, como respuesta a los intentos injerencistas de intervenir nación suramericana.
