Origami, la multiplicidad de hacer

Lázaro García Gutiérrez, es origamista. En sus propuestas parece retar la multiplicidad de formas y todo su San Nicolás le reconoce ese afán por darle otras razones a la vida.

 Alejandro Hernández Chamizo:¿Qué es Origami?

Lázaro García Gutiérrez: Origami es un vocablo japonés, que significa ori: plegado, gami: papel. Es decir plegar el papel. Su origen se disputa entre China y Japón, pero este último lo desarrolló más.

  AHCH: ¿Qué tipos de Origami existen?

LGG: Inicialmente el Origami lograba la forma final partiendo de un solo pliego de papel. Siempre se hacían abstracciones de la vida real y eran representadas en una única hoja de forma cuadrada, aunque se visualizan diseños triangulares o hexagonales. Con el decursar del tiempo sufrió notables cambios desde Japón hacia Europa que rompen un poco los patrones establecidos y adoptan nuevas iniciativas.

 AHCH: ¿Cómo nace un origami?

LGG: Con un pliego de papel se crea un diseño que recibe el nombre de origami módulo. Este también se incrementó con cintas, con formas bases que no eran tradicionales, en fin son muchísimas las variantes que tiene actualmente este arte.

 AHCH: ¿Qué beneficios trae para el hombre el origami además de la estética?

LGG: Tiene una gama de bonanzas que actualmente no es apreciada por la mayoría. Desde el punto de vista personal incide psicológicamente, requiere de una atención especial, establece un bienestar espiritual incomparable, interfiere en aspectos anatómicos, es decir, en la motricidad fina de las manos, la irrigación sanguínea aumenta, el lóbulo frontal del cerebro se dispara cuando haces un plegado de papel. Con respecto a la función educativa desarrolla el trabajo cooperativo en su máxima expresión, el estudio de la geometría, el cálculo y otros conceptos. El origamista posee un sentido de solidaridad increíble. En fin podría decirte un millón de elementos positivos, pero a groso modo estos son los más importantes.

 AHCH: ¿Cómo llega el origami a San Nicolás?

LGG: Eso se remonta a casi seis años y medio atrás. Básicamente siempre he doblado las hojas sin conocer que tenía facilidad para este arte. En el dos mil ocho encontré la máxima expresión del plegado de papel, me llamó mucho la atención y realizamos una labor muy acelerada en la creación de piezas de origami modular y felizmente en diciembre se inaugura la primera exposición en el Museo Municipal , ése es el anfitrión nuestro en el pueblo.

 AHCH: ¿Qué hacen después de la exposición viendo la aceptación de todo el pueblo?

LGG: Muchas personas pidieron aprender las técnicas de aprendizaje del origami, nos reunimos rápidamente con los compañeros del Museo y nos brindaron espacio y apoyo incondicional. A partir de enero de dos mil nueve efectuamos un taller de apreciación y creación de estas técnicas.

 AHCH: ¿Qué hacen actualmente los origamistas de San Nicolás?

LGG: Ya tenemos trabajos hechos en conjunto de todos los integrantes del taller. Hicimos la primera exposición con mucha aceptación popular y quedamos muy satisfechos. Tengo la tremenda satisfacción de dejar huellas en mi descendencia. Un año después, mi hijo Alejandro realizó una exhibición personal en el museo local con mucho éxito.

 AHCH: ¿Qué pretenden hacer en el futuro con el origami en el territorio?

LGG: Mira, lo único que te puedo decir al respecto es trabajar. Origami no es hablar, es plegar. El objetivo es desarrollar el arte y hacerlo llegar hasta donde podamos. Nos trazamos metas muy concretas, está felizmente en proceso la creación de una Asociación Cubana de Origami. Estamos en condiciones de fundarla, plegadores hay bastantes diseminados por todo el país, sin ningún tipo de organización. Es necesario reunificarnos y crear una asociación con fines bien definidos, pues no conozco una sola persona que se dedique a esta labor y no tenga los mismos objetivos, en el sentido de la propagación del arte.

 AHCH: ¿Cuéntame sobre el origami en la Universidad Agraria de La Habana?

LGG: Ya veo que estás bien informado. En la Universidad ocurre lo que siempre pasa a mi alrededor. Desde el comienzo del origami me tracé dos propósitos: llevar el arte a toda costa y expandirlo. Me considero un origamista dependiente, ya no puedo estar sin doblar un papel. Eso ocurrió en la Agraria y felizmente ya tenemos un pequeño taller con más de 40 estudiantes universitarios asociados. Además trabajamos para montar una exposición, preparar a los más aventajados y transmitir toda la experiencia en el conocimiento de las técnicas.

 AHCH: ¿Cómo combinas la práctica del origami, el trabajo y la familia?

LGG: Esa pregunta es bien complicada. El trabajo es muy importante y el momento libre lo dedico a plegar papel. En la Universidad se utilizan los horarios libres del almuerzo, algún receso entre turnos y no hay mucho más tiempo.

Lázaro García Gutiérrez posee su propio mundo y le da forma a su gusto. Lo real maravilloso del asunto es que gusta compartir con los demás el resultado de su amor por el origami.

Triunfa filme cubano "Conducta" en Festival de Nueva York

Güines, Mayabeque, Cuba -  El filme cubano Conducta (2014) se alzó hoy con el premio a la Mejor Película del XV Festival de Cine de La Habana en Nueva York, evento en el cual producciones de la isla caribeña y México obtuvieron los mayores elogios.

La cinta de Ernesto Daranas, que narra la dura historia del niño de 11 años Chala, fue la gran ganadora de la noche en el Directors Guild Theater, de Manhattan, donde Alina Rodríguez recibió el reconocimiento como Mejor Actriz por su papel de la profesora Carmela.

Cuba también se llevó las palmas por el Mejor Guión de los 10 largometrajes en competencia, logrado por Carlos Lechuga, con Melaza (2012), mientras Reynaldo Miravalles mereció el galardón de Mejor Actor, gracias a su labor en Esther en alguna parte (2013).

Los otros premios del Festival que durante nueve días mostró 45 materiales de una docena de países fueron para De cometas y fronteras (2013), una coproducción mexicano-estadounidense considerada el Mejor Documental, y el mexicano Diego Quemada-Diez, Mejor Director con su filme La jaula de oro (2013).

El jurado además reconoció a la película ecuatoriana No robarás (2013), en el cierre del evento que se desarrolló en salas y centros de Manhattan, Queens y el Bronx, tres de los cinco condados neoyorquinos.

La última jornada del XV Festival de Cine de La Habana en Nueva York cerró con la presentación de El doctor alemán (2013), cinta argentina sobre el paso del criminal nazi Josef Mengele, el ángel de la muerte de Auschwitz, por la Patagonia.

En la clausura del evento celebrado por primera vez en 2000, la principal promotora del Festival Carole Rosenberg lo calificó de "una oportunidad para mantener puentes abiertos entre Cuba y Estados Unidos".

La reconocida coleccionista de arte y filántropa destacó que la muestra se ubica en el mapa cultural de la Gran Manzana con propuestas diferentes, la cinematografía de Cuba y Latinoamérica.

Radio Mayabeque de aniversario

Los trabajadores de la emisora provincial Radio Mayabeque, festejan el aniversario 44 de la creación de Radio Güines, emisora territorial que dio paso a la planta provincial  con la división político-administrativa de La Habana en el dos mil 11.

El vínculo con los oyentes se mantiene como la principal razón de los festejos, por eso cumplen con un programa de actividades que abarca visitas a las 11 municipalidades de la provincia.

Hasta el momento el recorrido radial llegó a San Nicolás, Quivicán y Nueva Paz. La semana entrante continuarán  estos encuentros, vitales para la relación oyente-programa y para estrechar vínculos  con las direcciones políticas y de gobierno en las diferentes localidades.

A partir del lunes próximo, continuarán las visitas  por los diferentes municipios de la provincia.

Como parte de los recorridos se realizan encuentros con la población con el objetivo de conocer opiniones acera de la programación que ofrece la planta, tanto desde la óptica informativa como variada.

La celebración mayor acontecerá el 19 de abril, fecha en que los radialistas junto al pueblo de Mayabeque, festejarán las más de cuatro décadas de existencia de una emisora que se mantiene en el corazón del pueblo.

Radio Mayabeque anniversary

Precisamente esa colaboración tendrá su estreno esta semana de abril en Los Ángeles, Estados Unidos, donde ya se encuentra el director para ultimar detalles del siguiente rodaje, concebido con el propósito de acercar más la obra al público anglosajón, de modo que filmarán en inglés.

Alejandro es ahora mismo famosísimo dentro de Cuba, aunque nadie lo reconozca en la calle. Su profesión lo ocupa detrás de las cámaras, con pantalones anchos y gorras, siempre cómodo. Cuesta trabajo encontrar un nombre tan común en Google pero de solo pensar en la fotografía de largometrajes como Viva Cuba, Habanastation y el más reciente Conducta, la precisión llega junto a premios y elogios. Este realizador tiene un sello de calidad y un corazón que le deja llegar muy lejos sin que la fama se le suba pa la cabeza, como diríamos en las calles de su isla.

Días antes de partir a Norteamérica, Pérez recibió una llamada de una vieja amiga, Viengsay Valdés, primera bailarina del Ballet Nacional de Cuba (BNC), para invitarle a dirigir un audiovisual que rendirá homenaje a la prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso. Tras ver una grabación de la coreografía de Tania Vergara sobre una música compuesta expresamente para la Alonso por el pianista Frank Fernández, el realizador aceptó sumarse al equipo y emitió su primera orden como director: invitemos a Alicia a la filmación.

A los 93 años de edad, Alonso conserva un sentido regio de la disciplina y un amor por la danza que no le permiten quedarse quieta. La legendaria orquesta cubana Aragón, considerada por muchos como la máxima agrupación de música tropical del país caribeño, se presentará en Puerto Rico el próximo 26 de abril coincidiendo con sus 75 años de carrera.

Así lo informó hoy el productor puertorriqueño de espectáculos César Sainz en un comunicado en el que se señala que la orquesta actuará en el Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré de San Juan, sobre una banda fundada en septiembre de 1939.

La Charanga Aragón, nombre inicial de la orquesta, fue fundada en el año 1939 en la ciudad cubana de Cienfuegos por Orestes Aragón.

Desde sus comienzos, se ha destacado por sus interpretaciones en los géneros caribeños de la charanga y el chachachá.

Han pertenecido a la famosa orquesta cantantes como Benny Moré (1919-1963) y Dámaso Pérez Prado (1916-1989), así como el trompetista Félix Chapotín (1907-1983).

La orquesta, que continúa al mando de Rafael Lay hijo, ha inmortalizado la historia musical cubana con éxitos como "El Bodeguero", "Nosotros" y "Pare Cochero", entre otros.

Señor Douma, esta será su segunda visita a Cuba como conductor de un coro de la Universidad de Yale: ¿Cuáles fueron sus impresiones de Cuba y los cubanos la vez anterior?

Ante todo, me impresionó mucho el canto coral. Cuba es un país musical, por lo que esperaba que fueran excelentes, pero son algunos de los mejores coros que haya yo escuchado en cualquier parte del mundo.  El calor y la generosidad de las personas que conocí también me causaron una gran impresión.

¿Qué hace usted, como conductor, tan distinto que llevó al New York times a describir su coro como “uno de los mejores conjuntos corales a nivel universitario y a la vez, uno de los más arriesgados”?

Creo que tiene mucho que ver con nuestros maravillosos estudiantes, quienes son muy inteligentes y están muy motivados en dar lo mejor de sí. Ellos se transmiten toda su energía entre ellos. Antes de su concierto en el teatro Lázaro Peña usted dijo “Nos vamos de Cuba ahora, pero nos llevamos canciones cubanas para interpretarlas en otros países” ¿Lo hizo? Cuál fue la reacción del público al ver que habían incluido canciones cubanas en su repertorio?

Si, desde ese momento hemos cantado parte del repertorio que aprendimos aquí, El Bodeguero, por ejemplo, y siempre han gozado de una gran acogida tanto por los artistas como por el público.
